Taiwan market: Chunghwa Telecom sees profit of over NT$4 billion in January

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has reported unaudited net profit of NT$4.434 billion (US$139 million) for January 2010, with a net earnings per share (EPS) of NT$0.46.

CHT said it had about 1.67 million FTTx subscribers and 370,000 ADSL subscribers at download speeds of 8Mbps or above as of the end of January.

Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) have also released their financial figures for January.
