I have the SA-RT30 but the quality of these machines, if you don''t have the one made on ''lemon day'', is absolutely fantastic. The surround sound and output is sufficiently adjustable to suit any ear in any room. The output is enough to bring the neighbours around from the next street if desired and rock the baby to sleep in the next house. Considering this unit is a couple or 3 years + old now the spec is still good enough to give a modern unit a damn good run for its money. For a change you get a controller that is a doddle to handle where you don''t have to squint too hard to read the text, which by the way doesn''t seem to wear off like some of the newer units l have had. Playback quality is as good as ever and l have not experience any unexpected ''skip'' outside of the disc that my son left looking like he had stuck it on a record player. As a DVD Recorder it fulfilled all the recording variance you needed. If l had a critisism then it would be directed at the VideoPlus feature in that it is very tedious. Having said that l would find that particular function tedious on any unit and just prefer to select the program required and hit record. If l was out for 4 or 5 hours....so what! Just watch the bit you want then delete it. CD function awsome here as the ooodles of amps that you have in this baby is more than your bricks and mortar need and could seriously cause you problems if you only have subsidence cover for a £1000 on the house insurance.
