Samsung discussed plans to make large quantities of 3D LED screens in an attempt to eat up the early surge of 3D LED TV buyers and lower the cost of each individual screen over three months ago. As the 3D boom takes place before our eyes, high expectations of Corning glass screens could mean high sales of such screens like the Samsung 9000 series. Our guess is that Samsung underestimated how well the TV's would sell.
Samsung's ultra slim 9000 series is barely 7.98 mm thick which is the slimmest TV to date. They offer this model with a unique stainless steel bezel and single touch access to the internet. Samsung is now in a position to offer the innovative LED TVs on the market.
Large manufacturers like Samsung, Panasonic, and Sony are hoping that such innovations will pay off in the long run as the market becomes more saturated.
