Rumour has it the Nokia N8 smartphone will be hitting stores on August 25th over here in the UK from what Pocket-Lint have been hearing.
Nokia are hoping to make a triumphant return to the forefront of mobile phone technology with their upcoming Nokia N8 smartphone.
This will ideally be Nokia's answer to the iPhone, or more recently, the HTC Desire, which has leapfrogged Apple's offering in the last few weeks. Nokia have struggled against the might of the smartphone in the last few years and have upped their game considerably with the new N8.
Packing a 12 megapixel camera, HD video playback, HDMI out, 16GB of internal storage space, 3.5 inch touch screen and integrated Nokia Ovi maps functionality, the N8 is a powerhouse compared to previous Nokia attempts.
As far as the proposed released date is concerned, it comes courtesy of a Nokia store employee who informed the good folks at Pocket-Lint of an August 25th release date. Bear in mind this is not directly from Nokia PR so cannot be 100% reliable, but it will probably stir the Nokia big wigs into making an official announcement in the near future.
