T-Mobile snaps up HTC Wildfire

T-Mobile has announced it is the latest carrier to offer the HTC Wildifire – HTC's slimmed down, mini version of the HTC Desire.

The handset was only announced this week but already T-Mobile and Virgin Media have announced they will be offering the device.

The HTC Wildfire boasts a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, direct links to Facebook and Twitter, plus Android 2.1.

Great addition

T-Mobile says about the device: "The HTC Wildfire is a great addition to our Android portfolio, offering customers an affordable way to get their hands on an Android-based smartphone.

"The HTC Wildfire is perfect for those who love social networking, and with App Sharing it's even easier for customers to share their favourite apps with their friends, so they can have even more fun with Android marketplace."

The HTC Wildifire has a UK release date of 14 June and will be available for a £20 a month on a 24-month pay monthly contract.
