MWC '11: LG Optimus 3D, hands-on with the first smartphone to support 3D

During Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, LG has presented a number of really interesting products. In this article we analyze the new 3D Optimus, a terminal has almost "surprised" by the wonderful features and techniques. It is, in fact, the first mobile device in the world able to record and display 3D video on the large 4.3-inch glass.

The editors of Engadget, who has already got to try the terminal device described him as a smart but funny at the same time. The boys said they were amazed by the incredible graphics performance offered by Optimus 3D display, the actual main feature which distinguishes it from other products in the same band.

The graphics offered by the games, film, and also the interface graphics are truly phenomenal. Users can upload content to it on the new three-dimensional 3D Optimus LG and enjoy them while on the move, at the same time it will be possible thanks to the double camera installed on the rear of the terminal, record video in three dimensions and look at them directly on their 3DTV using an HDMI cable .

3D Optimus is also quite comfortable to hold, depending on whether you use it in portrait or landscape mode. Also excellent speed and fluidity of use.

You may like or not, but there is innegablie before the very first smartphone based entirely on 3D. Personally I can not imagine to what extent the implementation of this technology can be exploited in a timely manner on a screen, the 3D Optimus that, though dimensisoni iPhone 4 more than that, it is still rather small to fully enjoy the experience 3D.

It only remains to wonder if Apple, with the future iPhone 5, will implement something similar or if prefer, as happened in the past with other emerging technologies, detach itself from the competition and enter the other.
