IPad 2 compared with its rivals in the 10-inch

IPad 2 compared with its rivals in the 10-inch...

After the presentation of iPad 2 is closing the circle. In a few weeks, who intends to become a tablet, take a good deal to choose from , plus I'm sure they all appear associated with key market operators to have versions with 3G connectivity. In the United States some of these models is already thinking about playing with the 4G.

To be proposing the situation, Javier Penalva has prepared an initial comparison of the models close to the 10 " most important, I think I know of what we are talking about: iPad 2, HP TouchPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom .

Three different operating systems, IOS, Android, and webOS , the last two with a lot to prove, and not dissimilar hardware bets to count all with dual-core , dedicated graphics acceleration and display similar resolutions.

There are differences between different memory configurations, being the product of Apple which presents higher offer, but with the possibility of extending through the Android models microSD cards. The dimensions are also quite similar, emphasizing the low weight of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the thickness of the new iPad.

Outside us leave models such as the BlackBerry PlayBook, HTC Flyer, and Galaxy. original Tab, with 7-inch screens, or the intermediate LG Optimus Pad and Galaxy Tab 8.9, with a screen of 8.9 inches.

Cameras designed for video calls iPad 2

While Apple has not been willing to give many details, the Chambers of the new iPad are lower that presents the competition, specifically occurs with a front camera of just 0.3MP (640 × 480 pixels) and a post of 0.9MP (1280 × 720 pixels)

As in the iPod Touch 4 G that we had the opportunity to analyse, cameras are clearly intended for video calls Facetime, and the recording of video, but to take snapshots fall quite short.

The competition is stronger in this respect. If we go to the Samsung model we came up to 8 Megapixels in the main camera with LED flash and can record video in 1080p format. Motorola Xoom has 2 and 5 megapixel cameras, and the TouchPad HP stays a little behind with 1.3 megapixel camera for single camera, front here.

I invite you to see the full comparison and conclusions on Engadget, but I would like to point out two key points in the success of this type of device: the price and the applications, one that is competitive in these two aspects, has gained much ground, and in my opinion Apple is in the lead.

With what you aloan?
