Hands-on with the Linux based “First ELSE Phone”



Here’s a hands-on video with the Linux based “First Else Phone”. The specifications list of the new handset includes a TI OMAP 3430 processor, coupled with 256MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. In addition, the phone also delivers a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 854 pixel resolution and support for 262K colors, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and image stabilization capabilities.

Other specs of the new First Else device include WCDMA/HSDPA/ GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE with Quad band 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz & 1900 MHz and Tri-band 850 MHz, 1900 MHz & 2100 MHz support, along with Bluetooth connectivity, and Wi-Fi capabilities. A GPS receiver is also present in the package, as well as a 3.5 mm headset jack, and Tilt, Proximity and Light sensors. The new mobile phone comes with a 1450mA battery and measures 13mm x 56.6mm x 115.6 mm.
