HTC Smart with Qualcomm BREW MP Platform


According to a Taiwanese manufacturer, the model refers to “a new type of smart phones, being a smart phone without the operating system.”

Qualcomm BREW Mobile Platform (MP) refers to the further development and appeared in 2001 platform BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) and is consistent with it. Essentially, BREW is not an operating system, but is rather a virtual machine which applications are developed on the programming languages C, C + +, TrigML / Lua, or use Adobe Flash.

Graphical interface and user interaction are built around the concept of HTC Sense, which allows customizing the interface by itself, in addition providing simplified means to work with social networks, text messaging and e-mail.

HTC Smart is equipped with a 2.8-inch touch screen with a resolution of 240 by 320 pixels, supports networks GSM / GPRS / EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and HSDPA / WCDMA 2100 MHz. The new device is equipped with 3-megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR module, memory of 256 MB, slot for an SD-card flash memory, 3.5-mm audio connector, miniUSB-port, the battery capacity of 1100 mAh (battery works up to 370 minutes in 3G-networks, and up to 450 minutes in GSM-networks). The weight of the phone is 108 grams.
This new device, which appears on the position of the initial level will go on sale in the spring of this year.
