SFR Revenues Up 7.6% Year on Year

France's SFR has reported a rise of 7.6% in its full year revenues to EUR12.4 billion compared to 2008, which included the consolidation of Neuf Cegetel since April 15, 2008. Excluding that acquisition, organic revenues rose by 0.3%.

SFR added almost 743,000 new net mobile customers in 2009, while the success of the iPhone was confirmed with 670,000 units sold between April and December 2009. Due to "smartphones," data revenues represented 23.7% of the mobile revenues in 2009, compared to 17.7% in 2008.

Broadband Internet and fixed revenues reached €3,775 million, a 1.3% decrease on a comparable basis compared to 2008. Excluding the effects of a 9.5% decrease in switched voice revenues, regulatory changes and the sale in the first half of 2008 of the Club Internet network assets, broadband Internet and fixed revenues would have increased by 4.2%.

SFR's EBITDA amounted to EUR3.97 billion, a EUR187 million decrease on a comparable basis compared to 2008.

SFR is 56% owned by the French group, Vivendi and 44% by Vodafone.
