Super Talent has unveiled a new line of USB 3.0-technology drives, dubbed “SuperCrypt.” Although the origin of the spooky name isn’t clear, these sleek and silvery drives are speedy and secure.
All of the SuperCrypt drives host two AES encryption options, including STT encryption utility for password protection. Then it differs a bit between the standard SuperCrypt collection and the SuperCrypt Pro, incorporating 128-bit ECB encryption and 256-bit XTS encryption, respectively.
SuperCrypt drives will be available in five capacities (16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB) and features transfer speeds up to 240MB/s. Super Talent boasts that transferring a 600MB movie file only takes seven seconds with one of their new drives. Wow.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, although storage size and security options will definitely factor in. The SuperCrypt drives will ship some time this month.
