As of 29th April, you will be able to trade-in old electronic goods for money off Sony products.
This fantastic offer from Sony means that any used electronic product can be traded in, in exchange for money off brand new Sony products such as TVs, digital cameras and blu-ray players.
The trade-ins will be available at participating stores which include: Comet, Curry's, John Lewis, Sony Centre, Tesco Extra and a selection of approved independent Sony retailers. The money off discounts are to include £50 off Sony Blu-ray players or £150 from a Sony Bravia TV, for example.
The ads which will promote the service from 29th April include English football legends, Stuart Pearce, Terry Venables and Graham Taylor who are in a retirement home watching an old 1970's style TV which is then replaced with a new state-of-the-art Sony home entertainment system.
Sony commented that "We understand that consumers will undoubtedly want to upgrade their kit as they gear up for the World Cup this Summer, but cost is still an issue for most of us coming out of the recession. This campaign is not only timely in helping people take their entertainment to the next level, it is also a good way to encourage the responsible disposal of old technology. We've extended the promotion to include a wide range of products, so I'd recommend checking what's in store to see what's on offer" says Andy Benson, Sony UK commercial director.
The offer ends on July 11th (World Cup Final).
