HTC Wildfire - Budget but Brill Plus Video

The new HTC Wildfire smartphone is very similar to the HTC Desire but has a much smaller price tag. The HTC Desire swooped in and quickly became the best selling smartphone in the UK, but although it is very highly specified and is by far the best and fastest phone on the market right now, HTC thought it wise to launch a lower-range model. We think they did right.

The HTC Wildfire (named in a Facebook poll) has a stunning design with a sleek metallic battery cover and a similar appearance to the successful Desire. On board is a 3.2 inch QVGA screen (which makes it more affordable than the OLED screen on the Desire), Android 2.1 (which can be upgraded to 2.2), App Share, Integrated Facebook, 5 mega pixel camera with flash and a speedy Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528Mhz processor.

This is the perfect smartphone for those who love their social networking and texting, but don't want to splash out on the more expensive higher spec models such as the HTC Desire, HTC Legend etc. It is available in black, brown, red and white. Very nice.
