LG Vu Plus heads to AT&T on June 6; starts at $149.99 with contract

While the LG Fathom is headed to Verizon Wireless, AT&T has gained control over the LG Vu Plus, which will available be in their stores and online in June.

Essentially an upgrade (or complete redo) of the LG Vu, the LG Vu Plus changes things with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and support for AT&T’s FLO TV mobile service. Mobile TV access starts at $9.99 per month, but new subscribers will be lucky enough to pick up a free trial for a week.

Another $9.99 monthly subscription service supported on the LG Vu Plus is AT&T Navigator, which churns out turn-by-turn voice and on-screen driving directions, plus real-time traffic monitoring. New subscribers also get a crack at a free trial with this program, and this one will last for 30 days.

Naturally, the LG Vu Plus connects to AT&T’s 3G network, and it retains 7.2Mbps HSDPA support. Some of the other nifty specs include the 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 3-megapixel AF camera/camcorder, Bluetooth v2.0 and a microSD slot.

The LG Vu Plus will be available starting on June 6 for $149.99 after a mail-in rebate and the signing of a two-year contract.
