Plan B for Android, used only in the event of loss or theft

Plan B for Android, used only in the event of loss or theft...

Nobody was going through your head the idea that to losing your phone until that occurs. This implies that some applications with ability to locate mobile devices can be virtually useless as not being installed previously, how the hell is supposed that we can find them when they are stolen or are simply not where we believe have left? That is why the Lookout Security company submit this interesting solution under the name Plan B in the form of applications that we install on our Android after having lost the trail.

The application makes use of the installer from the website of the Android Market to the terminal, so it will only work if our smartphone supports this function. Once installed, the device activates the GPS receiver and begins to send periodic emails containing links to Google Maps showing the location.

A process which is limited to 10 minutes and can be reactivated at any time by sending a message with the word "locate" (find or locate) from another mobile device.

Plan B currently is undergoing tests within their State of beta version, Éclair being operational only in the United States and smartphones with Android OS 2.0 or higher.

The question now is and if the terminal is switched off or was out of battery?
