The amount of videos viewed on Facebook increased from 14 million last year, to a very impressive 43 miilion just 12 months later. YouTube is the leader, being the most popular with 2.5 billion views and a 17% increase over a year. The BBC came in second place with its websites with videos available to download and reached a huge 140 million views, and Megavideo came third with 53 million video views.
The Internet has opened up many new doors for manufacturers to showcase their new products and offers available to consumers. It has presented a new way of shopping for many who take advantage of the ease and simplicity of it.
Brands such as Sony and Samsung appear on the popular video sites with new features on show such as their 3D TVs which showcased at CES 2010 along with the latest LED TVs. Videos such as these are great for consumers to see the slimline dimensions and sheer style of them prior to purchase, especially when buying online.
