We had talked about a Red HP Mini 5101 Knockoff one month ago. But, this time the netbook is in blue color and it doesn’t have a HP logo on it.
This HP mini 5102 wannabe gives you the new pine-trail platform featuring an Atom N450 processor running at 1.66GHz and GMA 3150 graphics card. Users get the default configuration of 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB (5400 RPM) hard drive, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. The configuration is completely the same as the HP 5101 knockoff.
This knockoff has a 11.6 inch screen which is exactly the same as the Red HP mini knockoff.
The keyboard module is very close to the edges. The palm rest part has used “Matte Material” in order to make your hands feel comfortable while you are using the netbook.
On the right hand side, it has inputs of headphone and mic jacks, 2 USB ports, a VGA output, an Ethernet port and a DC power input.
On the left hand side, it has a SD card reader, a USB port and air vents.
The new Atom platform 3D performance doesn’t have much improvements, 3Dmark 05 test records only 266 points under the resolution of 1024 × 768. Apparently, it appears to play the game with the new Atom is not possible, but still be able to see improvement relative to the GMA 950.
You can choose to have a 6 cell battery and a 3 cell battery.
Using PCMark05, the system test shows 1503 points as a result of CPU, memory, graphics chips, hard drives test scores.
With Windows XP, the machine lasted for 2 hours and 34 minutes with 3-cell battery. With the 6-cell battery, it managed to last for 4 hours and 39 minutes.
At last, if you really want a HP logo on it, you can order to have it on, and it will just cost you about $10RMB ($0.7). The price of this netbook is around $1800RMB ($257).
