Sony, Google and Intel Team Up to Build Sony Android TV

Google is coming to TVs thanks to the likes of Sony and Intel who are teaming up to create an Internet TV with Google's Android operating system at it's core.

Next month bot Sony and Intel are revealing details of their upcoming Android based Internet TV. Meetings between the three companies involved have been pencilled in for the 19th and 20th May.

Code names and rumours are floating around all over the web, with talk of a custom Atom processor being designed specifically for the TVs, referred to as 'Dragonpoint', which will drive a custom build of the Android OS to be provided by Google themselves. On top of all this, Logitech have been linked with the three technology super powers to possibly provide a bespoke wireless keyboard for the TVs.

It's all hearsay at the moment, but more often than not these rumours come to fruition as predicted, so time to get excited folks. With Sony providing the bulk of the hardware, Intel providing the brains and Google building the interface, could we be looking at the first Super TV? We think so!
