Nokia N8 Mobile Phone Announced

Nokia announce their new flagship handset in the form of the Nokia N8 smartphone.

Nokia have been playing catch-up against the likes of RIM, Apple and HTC in the smartphone wars this last couple of years, but it looks as though they have finally got a phone to take on the HTC Desire, Blackberry Bold and mighty iPhone with the unveiling of the Nokia N8.

The N8 comes with the new Symbian 3 operating system and is currently the only Nokia handset to get the privilege. To help fight off the competition the N8 comes with a host of massive features, such as HD video recording, 12 megapixel digital camera, HDMI out, 3.5 inch touch screen display and a huge 16GB of internal memory. The battery life is also not to be sniffed at with an impressive 6 hours video playback from a single charge.

A last minute addition to the package is the new SU-36 telescopic stylus, an optional accessory, which you can use to control the touch screen if you prefer the pen-to-paper experience over using your thumb or finger.

The Nokia N8 is expected in the third quarter of 2010, we'll let you know when we hear any more regarding pricing and call plans, so stay tuned.
