Sony Ericsson have unveiled their new affordable Zylo Walkman handset, which will be rolled out in the third quarter of 2010, alongside the new Sony Ericsson Spyro.
The Zylo is the big brother to the Spyro, both announced today by Sony Erricsson. Like the Spyro, the Sony Ericsson Zylo is a Walkman branded handset, combining a music player with a mobile phone, two things Sony are very good at building.
The phone has built-in support for popular social media sites Twitter and Facebook, for keeping in touch with friends and family, also included is support for Flickr and Picasa so you can upload your photos directly to the web via the handset without the need for a computer.
For the music lovers out there the Zylo has integrated support for TrackID, a service that will listen to and identify any music it hears, so if you're out and about and hear a song you like you can hold up your Zylo and it will identify the song and display the artist and song name, pretty neat huh?
Here's a low down of the Zylo's specifications:
* 2.6 inches 240 x 320 pixels (QVGA) TFT scratch-resistant display
* Up to 260 MB of internal phone memory
* microSD Slot for up to 16 GB of external memory
* 3.2 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and capable of Geo tagging
The Zylo will be available in three colours: 'Jazz Black', 'Chacha Silver' and 'Swing Pink' and will be available in the third quarter of 2010. No word on pricing as of yet, we'll report on the price as and when it/they are announced.
