A press release from Apple HQ has made it almost certain that the company will announce the new iPhone 4G on June 7th, in our opinion, at least.
The missive from Cupertino simply states that Steve Jobs will kick off the Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 with a keynote address.
The thing is, Apple's enigmatic frontman doesn't turn up to these geeky WWDC shindigs unless he has something to announce which will get the hyped-up gang of Apple fanboys and girls a-whoopin' and a-hollerin'.
There have been more leaks about the forthcoming iPhone 4G than at the International Incontinentcy Organisation's annual pub crawl, so there won't be too many surprises in store for the overexcited gathering of Macolytes.
According to Apple, the five-day event running from June 7 to June 11, is focused on providing advanced content for skilled developers across five key technology tracks: Application frameworks; Internet and web; Graphics and media; Developer tools; and Core OS.
In reality it is more often than not a self-congratualtory mutual back-slapping iPropaganda outing for Apple insiders and the company's tame press pack.
