Amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer, has announced an app for free download: “Kindle for BlackBerry”.
This app will enable user to access approx 400,000 Kindle books on their BlackBerry phones. The best thing is that this app can be downloaded for free from Amazon.
However, there are only selected BlackBerry models that support this app, which include: Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Curve 8520, Curve 8900, Storm 9530, Storm 9550 and Tour 9630.
Similar to its online counterpart, this mobile app for BlackBerry will automatically synchronize your last read page and annotations between devices and Whispersync. Also, there are options for creating bookmarks and viewing the annotations you created on your Kindle, computer or other Kindle-compatible devices.
As for now, Kindle for BlackBerry is available only for U.S. customers.
