
For those of you not stuck in the UK due to the massive Volcanic eruption and ash, you may be enjoying the conference dubbed Chirp, in San Francisco. Twitter is holding its first developers conference this week with many third party developers attending, learning that Twitter bought out Atebits, makers of the Tweetie app. For those of you out of the loop, the Tweetie app is soon to be re-branded as Twitter for the iPhone.
For the marketing gurus, came big news as promoted tweets were big talk. When Twitter users conduct a search that matches a distinct set of keywords paid by advertisers or tweets marketers, the promoted tweet shows at the top of the search results. Basically, promoted tweets are like Google Adwords joining in the Twitter world.
