Sky a Launches 3D Pub Finder


Sky has launched an online Pub Finder that allows fans to locate the nearest pub broadcasting the football games 3D channel. Web users just enter their postcode into the pub finder the closest ones to them will show up. An estimated 1,500 venues have participated in the Sky 3D pub finder. Coinciding with the Coca-Cola Football League Play-Off finals later in the month when the season ends May 9th a Premiership game will be broadcast on Sky 3D. When not showing football in 3D, the channel will also offer a 'showreel' of the other shows the broadcaster will offer.

Sky said it was "working hard to ensure the vast majority of pubs on the finder have been kitted out with 3D TVs and 3D glasses in time for the match".

Consumers with a Sky HD box that subscribe to the broadcasters top channels will also be able to access the channel, providing they have a compatible 3D TV set and 3D glasses. In the future, Sky explained that their 3D TV service will offer a range of movies, sport, documentaries, and entertainment.
