Sony 3DTV UK Release in June

The first Sony 3DTV to hit the UK will be the Bravia HX803 3D-Ready TV in June, followed by the LX903 and HX903 soon after.

Sony are ramping up their 3D plans with the announcement of the first 3DTVs to hit the UK market from June onwards. First to arrive will be the Bravia HX803 and will be available in store this June, shortly followed by the LX903 and HX903 models.

All models will be equipped with the new Freeview HD tuners, which will be built in, meaning no extra peripherals taking up space. For a limited period PS3 owners who purchase one of the 3D TVs will be eligible for vouchers containing download codes that will offer free upgrades to the 3D versions of the following PSN game titles:

PAIN

Wipeout HD

Pacific Rift

Super Stardust HD

PS3 users will need to upgrade their firmware to take advantage of the new 3D technology, but this will be a free upgrade and will be available prior to the Sony TVs becoming available. There may also be an extra bonus on the cards as Sony have noted in their press release that "selected products" will include two bundled 3D Blu-ray titles: 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' and 'Deep Sea'. Alternatively 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' will be available to buy separately from June 14th.

Pre-orders from the Sony web site should be available shortly. We will keep you posted with pricing and availability details as they become available.
